Sunday after Thanksgiving we took the afternoon off to visit with two author friends who were part of an interesting event in Oldwick.

A collection of Hunterdon authors were part of the Oldwick Book & Christmas Craft Fair. It was a full afternoon with displays of books and authors, presentations by authors, and readings from several of the published books by authors present.

I picked up two books in time to allow me to read them before passing them on to family and friends as gifts. I learned that there are many more authors in the county than participated in this event.

Perhaps the event is an idea for Flemington for next year, if someone wants to organize and sponsor it. Can we find a satisfactory location. This event was held in a perfect facility. There was a very good sound system. Parking was very good too.
There was a Grinch, and for a time Mr and Mrs. Santa Claus,

for the kids to have their photos taken. No charge for admission or posing with the Grinch or Santa. You took your own photos.
The only cost was that of buying any of the large selection of books offered.
