Hi! I’m Lee,

A little more about the purpose of this web site

Tevye, with a violin in hand, sitting on his roof, opens the popular musical, Fiddler on the Roof, a musical based on stories about prejudice, tradition, politics, and other universal themes. These are themes in his case, deeply rooted in the Russian Jewish culture. He sings out the word “Tradition” while sitting on his roof and overlooking his community and commenting on his life, his family, and his community.

Traditions, practices, past experiences, are among the things that bind people, families, and communities. I did not give these concepts must thought when younger. I do think about them now. Are they important? You tell me.

One tradition I was introduced to some years ago was the English tradition of afternoon Tea. A break in the middle of late afternoon, usually between 3:30 and 4:00. The morning coffee break for some, moved to the afternoon. A pause to refresh. A pause to get a breath in the mid to late workday. Perhaps a time to reflect.

I have been reading about how important such a pause or break, “Tea Time” is for all of us. I invite you to join me for that pause, that break, that moment of thinking and reflection.
